M. S. Yeritspakhov
1890 - 1900s
Information regarding this photographer’s biography is based on scant facts provided by his backstamps. Yeritspakhov’s ‘Elba’ photo-studio operated in Elizavetapol (Gyandja) until the 1910s and served mainly the Armenian and Russian population of the city. The individual and family portraits made by him are of great ethnographic interest since they often depict Elizavetapol's residents in their festive as well as everyday national costumes. Unfortunately, only a small number of Yeritspakhov’s photographs seem to have survived and most of them are kept in private and family collections.
