Ter-Danielyants
1900 - 1910s
We know very little ofTer-Danielyants’ practice and biography. Judging from a few surviving photographs, Ter-Danielyants did not have a permanent atelier and frequently moved around different cities in the Caucasus. Apart from portraits, we also know of a number of photographs that depict the historical and architectural monuments in the Ararat valley, some of which were published in the Armenian periodicals of the early 20th century. Along with M. Smbatyants, Tigran Peshtmaldjyants and Aram Vruyr, Ter-Danielyants is the only other photographer in Russian Armenia to have specialised in ‘patrimonial’ photography during this period. His photographic practice seems to have ended in the late 1900's.
