Radik Sharoyan
born 1960
1980 - 2010s
Radik Sharoyan, a cinematographer by profession, has had a parallel vocation as a photographer since his college years. In the late 1980s his documentary and genre pictures were occasionally reproduced in the Armenian journals such as Garun (Spring). His earlier, more experimental works reveal Sharoyan’s inclination towards cinematic approaches to framing and composition.
Since 2000, along with filmmaking and cinematography, Sharoyan has focused on landscape and architectural photography, making extensive documentary series dedicated to the historical monuments of Eastern and Western. The photographer is the son of writer and politician Roland Sharoyan.
