A number of Saribekyan's photographs were published in the magazine ‘Garun’ (Spring) in the 1980s. These are impressionistic observations in which insignificant objects and sites are imbued with mystery and symbolic import. The highly skilled finish of these images and the ability of the photographer to evince the sublime from the everyday gives us reason to assume that Saribekyan had an artistic background. But the small number of these images also suggests that the artist was only briefly involved in photography and has not practiced in this field since the 1990s. No biographical information was found in the course of our research.
