Little is known about this photographer beyond what his few known photographs provide. ‘Norayr’ studio specialized in family and wedding photographs. These are lively and expressive portraits, which attest to the photographer’s talent in staging gracefully theatrical compositions. Judging from the images that have been discovered thus far, Norayr's studio was technically well-equipped and had substantial decorations for various occasions. Like many other Egyptian-Armenians, the photographer probably emigrated from Egypt in the early 1960s, since his last photographs all date from the previous decade.
