I. Melikyan
1900 - 1900s
I. Melikyan's photography studio operated briefly in Baku at the commercial house of Tagiev Brothers on Torgovaya Street. Established in the late 1890s, it primarily serviced the city's working and intellectual classes. Amidst his more conventional portraits, the studio sittings of musicologist Father Komitas and actors Duryan-Armenyan and Armen Armenyan (1903) are of special interest. They indicate that Melikyan had connections and was involved with the Armenian intellectual circles in Baky. Other biographical details have yet to surface.
