S. S. Luarsabov
1900 - 1910s
S. S. Luarsabov is most probably A. S. Luarsabov’s brother or son. His independent practice began much later than the latter’s since most of A. S. Luarsabov’s photographs date from the 1900s-1910s. As noted on the photographer’s seal, he was based in Tiflis and served the Russian imperial army. Therefore, many of Luarsabov’s surviving portraits depict Russian officer and their families. These are conscientious, but ubiquitous carte de visites and cabinet portraits and the studio does not appear to have made any other types of photographs. Luarsabov ceased his photographic activities after the Bolshevik Revolution.
