In the 1960s and 1970s, Robert Levonyan appeared in the magazine Garun with some photographs representing Armenia’s flora and fauna. Imbued with melancholy romanticism, these wistful images are characteristic of the lyrical streak in Soviet-Armenian documentary photography which was especially prevalent in the works of photographers pursuing artistic trends in during the 1960s. No biographical information regarding the photographer has been found.
