Ye. Khangulyants
1910 - 1920s
Information regarding the life and work of the provincial photographer Ye. Khangulyants, has not come to light. Working from the village of Yekaterinenfeld, Tiflis province, Khangulyants serviced the mainly Armenian population of neighboring settlements as well. Judging from the few surviving photographs, he had a mobile pavilion and most probably began to take photographs in the early 1910s, operating until the mid-1920s. His works are exclusively individual and family groups portraits made for intimate, memorial purposes. The more interesting of these images show the inhabitants of Tiflis province in their backyards or with prized possessions.
