Facts regarding this photographer’s professional practice have not been discovered. In the 1950s, Galaydjyan worked as a correspondent for a number of local newspapers and magazines such as ‘Sovetakan Hayastan’ (Soviet Armenia) for which he provided genre photographs and small photo-reportages on various topics that ranged from agricultural works to urban leisure. These propaganda images are executed with a dutiful commitment to the ideology of socialist-realist art and visual culture.
