U. Fetfadjyan
1890 - 1910s
Details regarding this photographer’s biography have not come to light in the course of our research. Fetvadjian’s photographic establishment was located in Batumi and was one of the more prominent in this Black Sea town. It operated from the end of the 1900s until the establishment of Bolshevik government in Georgia. There is a large number of surviving portraits produced by this studio and they mostly depict middle and upper middle class residents. Though of excellent craftsmanship, these conventionally styled portraits are very much of their time and are of historical and cultural significance.
