Hayk Avetisyan

After graduating from the Armenian National High College in Aleppo in 1941, Avetisyan went to train as an apprentice with famous Syrian-Armenian photographer Vardan Derunian. In 1948, together with his brother, Hrach, Avetisyan founded Arsho and somewhat later Hayk photography studios. (1) Studio Hayk existed until the end of the 2000s and was supervised by Avetisyan's son Avo. Avetisyan specialized in all types of studio photography and was one of the first such operators to work in color photography.
