Ashotyan is a photography amateur. He has mostly addressed the themes of childhood and family life in his works, some of which have been published in Soviet-Armenian periodicals such as Hayastani Askhatavoruhi (Armenian Female Worker) in the "Armenian Worker". No biographical information was found in the course of our research.
