Mary Aghakhanyan

Mary Aghakhanyan graduated from Romanos Melikyan Music College and also studied philosophy and metaphysics at Yerevan Humanities University. In 2003, he graduated from the Komitas Conservatory as a music expert with a diploma work on Middle Eastern countries. For several years he has been working in Byurakn educational complex as an art teacher, staging his performances with children. He is an author of fairy-tales, theatrical performances, documentary and feature scenarios.
In 2014 graduated from Roman Balayan's highest directorial course. In 2015, he is filming his short film "From Heaven to Top". Since 2009, he has taken his first steps in photography by drawing in a documentary genre. That year, he received a grant from the Open Society Foundation for his "Social and Economic Situation in a Number of Armenian Villages" project. This work is being selected in 2010 to participate in the Asian Women's Photographers, the 6th Anniversary Festival, and then in many other countries.Now, Mary Aghakhanyan works on his films as well as on long-term photo-projects, such as War or Peace, the Nation of Nations, and the Cryptic Paradise associated with the genocide.
