For a number of years, Gagik Margaryan worked at Hayfilm as a stills-photographer. His photographs were published in the 1980s in the Ekran (Screen) magazine and were used as promotional material for various feature films made by the studio. The photographer was one of the few Soviet-Armenian specialists in this genre. No other biographical information has been found.
