No bibliographical or archival traces have been discovered regarding this photographer based in one of the more prominent Armenian colonies in Bulgaria, the city of Rousse. Notably, the photographer’s seal is in French and Gabrielyan presented himself as an ‘American’ photographer. Gabrielyan specialised in conventional studio portraiture and his surviving photographs suggest that the studio operated at least until the First World War.
